Celebrating Community in the 21st Century
Our imagination is…
To provide a sanctuary for the celebration of The Christian Community sacraments; to host conferences, community life, and retreats for those seeking enlivening of the Spirit through Christ’s healing power.
The Center for Spiritual Renewal will be located at the Christian Community Church property in Hillsdale, NY. Expansion of our existing community center will involve enlarging meeting and dining spaces to accommodate larger groups. The center will offer communal areas for conferences and retreats: a kitchen with adjoining dining capacity for up to 100 people, meditation spaces, biodynamic and medicinal gardens and walking trails.
We also plan to build five cottages (sleeping 15-20 individuals) that blend harmoniously with the natural surroundings, adding more accommodations as the conference communities grow.
Looking to the future…
The warmth of Christian Community life, and the sanctuary and respite provided by this special land and the river that courses through it will be enjoyed by all who come. A regular practice of making and administering biodynamic preparations in the land will add to the healing power of a stay at the Center for Spiritual Renewal.
